Utopia is a performance that took place at a Residency called The Meadow of the Ephemeral near the village Livadi, Thessaloniki, Greece. The idea came from the deep urge that I was feeling constantly at the time to reconect with nature and regain the lost relationship with it.

I found my place in the wilderness, I cut the plants and dig a hole in the ground big enough to fit me. The next day, I layed inside the hole like an embryo for sometime. With eyes closed I was listening to the sounds of the environment around me, in a silent meditation reconnecting with nature.

The next day, I made the same performance in front of an audience, Laying inside in front of the people I felt exposed. I started covering myself with soil and that brought me calmness. The audience helped me to cover almost completely. I felt like I was inside earth's hug. I could stay there forever.

When I finally came out, I felt reborn.
